About Your Photographer
Born,
raised, and still living in Seattle, Washington, Kerry Dahlen
got his first 110 instamatic at the age of 6, and has been
taking pictures ever since. He has a degree in editorial
journalism from the University of Washington, but spent a
lot more time running around with a camera than in class,
eventually winning a bit of hardware from the College Photographer
of the Year folks for a Spot News image he made on the way
back from the paper late one night in the early 90's.
Since then, his images have
appeared in several publications, including the Seattle Times,
the Puget Sound Business Journnal, Grinnell Alumni Magazine,
The University of Washington Law Alumni Magazine, the University
of Washington Business School Alumni Magazine, Digital IQ
Northwest, the Linux Journal, and more. Over the past 20
years, he's taken portraits of executives and employees of
and for Cranium!, American Seafood Group, REI, EDS, Intel,
Windemere Real Estate, Microsoft, Amazon, and Terrabeam,
bands, musicians, jugglers, cats, dogs, kids, pregnancy,
couples and several dozen weddings all over the country.
The
weddings featured on this website are from the past few years,
were shot digitally, and span from North Carolina to Phoenix
to Mercer Island, WA, and in them, you'll see that Kerry's
shooting style is journalistic, which is to say he 'covers'
your event, seeking to capture the whole story as it occurs
over time in pictures, from putting the make up on and setting
the stage to final curtain and the drive away.
Please e-mail
or a call, he'll be more than happy to record your event. |
